sunita.jpgAlthough born across the Atlantic ocean in the hills of Pakistan, Houston-native Sunita Dharani has spent her life essentially doodling on every surface available to man or burying herself in a book. While she never thought to pursue the visual arts for anything more than an emotional outlet, the fact that she can't stop sketching or painting at the oddest hours of the night is a sign. Inspiration from the dark side of nature and man are two sources which can be seen in her style and composition, although Sunita has been trying to... well, lighten things up a bit. Her works can be seen hanging in the homes of friends and family, or decidedly in her corner of canvases and half-washed brushes, but for the first time, the convoluted imagery in her mind's eye will be on the streets of Houston.
