What is your official job title?
I am a Speech-Language Pathologist and Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist.
Describe your role at CHS.
I get to teach kids with hearing loss to listen and speak, and I love it! It is something I am truly passionate about. I am so glad I found the world of Auditory-Verbal Therapy.
How long have you worked at CHS?
I moved to Houston last July and have been working at CHS since August 2017.
Where are you from?
I was actually born in Friendswood, Texas, but grew up in Bartlesville, Oklahoma (near Tulsa). I attended The University of Arkansas for undergrad, and OU for graduate school. I most recently lived in Fayetteville, Arkansas before moving to Houston last July.
What is your favorite thing to do in Houston?
I love trying out new coffee shops! I have a goal to try 10 new coffee shops before turning 30 next year.
What is your favorite restaurant in Houston?
True Food Kitchen, but I am always looking for new places to try brunch!
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Ooh this is a hard one! Someday I would like to travel to Denmark because it is known as one of the happiest places in the world!
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what would be the first thing you would buy?
Two plane tickets! Traveling with my husband is one of my favorite hobbies!

What is your dream job?
It has always been my dream to open a pie shop/bookstore!
What is the best book you have ever read?
I love to read! I really enjoy historical fiction, and I would say “The Nightingale” is one of the best books I’ve ever read.

I am reading, running, sitting in a coffee shop, or spending time with my husband.
