What is your official job title?
My official title is Social Worker.
Describe your role at CHS.
I serve the families, children and staff needs related to social services, case work, identifying resources, counseling and therapy. I have been devoted to my profession for over 30 years.
How long have you worked at CHS?
I just started last week!
Where are you from?
I am originally from Chicago, Illinois and have lived in Houston for 35 years.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I love traveling and have spent the last few summers studying and living in Israel. I love the country and the culture and living like a native. My next place to visit is Australia.
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what would be the first thing you would buy?
If I won the lottery I would give most of it away to charity and travel with my family.
What three words describe you?
Wise, compassionate, loves to laugh
What job would you want to have if you weren’t doing this?
I would not want to do anything else. My fantasy is to appear on Broadway in a musical, which I have already done!
What is the best book you have ever read?
My favorite books are Tale of Two Cities, Marjorie Morningstar, Exodus
I’m happiest when:
I am together with family sharing good food and stories
Other fun facts:
- I am a mother of 2 daughters adopted from China.
- I work as a sous chef for my sister who is Executive Director at Rice Epicurean Cooking School. It is lots of fun and I have learned new shortcuts and techniques!
- I’ve climbed the Great Wall of China.
- I have served in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).
