Meet Jennifer, a graduating senior from the University of Houston majoring in Health. Jennifer became interested in the Center through friends who were connected and told her about our mission. She is now one of our amazing volunteers for the Melinda Webb School kindergarten class and helps with administrative work for the audiology clinic.
Volunteering has influenced Jennifer because she was not aware of how many children were affected by hearing loss. She mentions, “Volunteering here has been an eye opening experience seeing how many families CHS helps and how much people depend on them.” The Center has also opened her eyes to many more career options for her after graduation.
Overall, her favorite experience has been volunteering with MWS kiddos. Interacting with their different personalities has got her hooked!
Fun fact: Jennifer’s goal is to get into nursing school.
