Now that you’ve read our Music, Day One blog, we’re just going to assume you’re sold on our Saturday line-up. In this entry, we’re going to show why you should hang out Sunday, too.

Picture4.jpgThe Lounge Stage, located right behind City Hall on Bagby, will overlook the “Chalking the Cornerstones” mural series. You can kick back in this IKEA-designed lounge, watch six teams of artists design murals showcasing Houston’s industries, sample craft beer, and listen to some of our city’s best musicians. It’s really the coolest thing you could do on a Sunday afternoon. The Lois Albez Duo will start off the day at 11:45 a.m. with their jazzy bossa nova blends in five different languages. Keep on relaxing on the IKEA couches as Clory Martin takes the stage at 1:00 p.m. to make all us Houstonians proud of our music scene. With sincere and sultry vocals, she sounds “like a smokier Norah Jones” according to Craig Hlavaty from the Houston Press. Next let Ira Perez blow you away with an energetic performance of alt-pop to R&B at 2:15 p.m. The final Lounge Stage show for the day will be DJ LilsMC at 3:30 p.m., spinning her electronic remixes of decades worth of indie tracks. You can catch her at Clutch City Squire, but now’s your chance to bust out your best moves outdoors.

It might be tough running circles around City Hall, but you’ll want to check out our great line-up on the Reliant Main Stage, too, overlooking the reflecting pond. Jealous Creatures will kick off the dayat 12:00 Picture6.jpgnoon, bridging the gap between 80’s bombast and 90’s rock. At 1:15 pm, La Sien returns to the Via Colori stage. This band is truly a Houston favorite and has definitely cleaned up at the Houston Press Music Awards, most notably winning “Best Latin Band” for 2013. You’ll definitely want to stick around for Soul Track Mind at 2:30 pm. This Austin-based band is lively, funky and most of all incredibly dance-able! The Sufferswill then grace the stage at 4:00 p.m. As most Houstonians know, The Suffers are getting a ton of buzz on the music scene as they “create music that drips with the sweaty sounds of Jamaican Rocksteady and classic American Soul.”

Whether you like relaxing, singing along, or dancing, the Via Colori entertainment line-up has something just for you. We can’t wait to see you in a few short days!
