Houston Via Colori is put on by a team of hardworking professionals from the The Center for Hearing and Speech, a local nonprofit for children with hearing loss. With our "Meet the Team" series, you can get to know the team that makes this festival possible.
Meet Via Colori's Marketing and Events Specialist, Janine Sanborn! Janine recruits and coordinates the 200+ amazing volunteer artists for Via Colori, manages the Apprendista youth artist contest, and assists with marketing and social media.  In honor of this year's festival theme, 70 Years in Color, we're throwing it back to Janine's younger years. Check out her "then" and "now" photos and favorite childhood memories below.

In what city/state were you born?

I was born in Houston, Texas!

What was your favorite childhood movie?

My favorite childhood movie would have to be anything with Mary-Kate and Ashley.

Who was your favorite childhood celebrity?

I was a loyal fan of Britney Spears, NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys. :) Typical fangirl.

What was your favorite childhood book?

Love You Forever because it reminds me of my parents reading it to me as a child.

What was your favorite childhood memory and why?

My favorite childhood memory has to be going to the beautiful lake in my dad’s hometown in Wisconsin every summer. Our entire family would go tubing, play in the sand and then go back to my Grandma’s house to eat delicious meals.
