Houston Via Colori is put on by a team of hardworking professionals from the The Center for Hearing and Speech, a local nonprofit for children with hearing loss. With our "Meet the Team" series, you can get to know the team that makes this festival possible.

Meet Via Colori's new Marketing/PR Manager, Ariel Jones! In honor of this year's festival theme, 70 Years in Color, we're throwing it back to Ariel's younger years. Check out her "then" and "now" photos and favorite childhood memories below.

In what city/state were you born?

I was born in Washington, D.C.

What was your favorite childhood movie?

My favorite movie was “The Nightmare Before Christmas”.

Who was your favorite childhood celebrity?

Lil Zane...really embarrassing, but true.

What was your favorite childhood book?

As a little girl, my favorite book was called “Bringing the Rain to Kapiti Plain” by Verna Aardema.

What was your favorite childhood memory and why?

One day when I was 5, a butterfly landed on my hand and stayed there until I raised my hand to let it go. That same day, my dad ordered a pizza and we ate it on the hood of our red Jeep and looked at the stars. Best. Day. Ever.
