Alonzo Zozo Garcia has put together a variety of work displaying his abilities in painting and drawing. He first started painting in watercolor at the age of nine and slowly branched out to drawing and painting in every medium available. He loves painting and drawing with extreme contrasts of light, shadow and color. He enjoys making photorealistic, fauvist, abstract human and canine portraits, and still lifes of all kinds. Zozo attained a Bachelor in Arts in Art with a minor in education from the University of Texas at El Paso. He also studied art restoration at New Mexico State University. Wayne Thiebaud is the biggest influence on his work as well as Santiago Calatrava, Irving Penn, Lucian Freud, and Lyuba and Aleksander Titovets, who have been his mentors since he was nine and taught him the importance of technique, proportion and color.
