Although we love our four-legged friends, no pets are allowed at the festival and glass containers are also prohibited (City of Houston ordinance). No outside coolers, food or beverages are allowed.

Driving Directions

Via Colori takes place on Allen Parkway (Lamar St.) and Bagby St. surrounding Sam Houston Park in downtown Houston.

• From I-45 North:
Take I-45 South to Houston. Take the McKinney Exit (left exit).  Turn left on Bagby.  The first light you reach is Walker and to the left is a parking garage marked “Theatre District Parking.”  Additional parking can be found at the next light up on Rusk at Bagby.  Take a right on Rusk and parking can be found to the left and right.


• From I-45 South:
Take I-45 North to Houston. Take the Allen Parkway Exit (left exit). Go west on Allen Parkway. At Taft (first light), make a U-turn and come back up Allen Parkway. Go past the entrance ramps to I-45 and turn left on Louisiana.  Continue North on Louisiana for three blocks.  When you reach Walker, take a left.  Continue on Walker until you reach Bagby.  To the left is a parking garage marked “Theatre District Parking.”  For additional parking, take a right on Bagby and parking can be found at the next light up on Rusk at Bagby.  Take a right on Rusk and parking can be found to the left and right


• From Highway 59 North:
Take 59 South to I-10 West to I-45 South. Take the McKinney Exit (immediate left exit) and turn left on Bagby.  The first light you reach is Walker and to the left is a parking garage marked “Theatre District Parking.”  Additional parking can be found at the next light up on Rusk at Bagby.  Take a right on Rusk and parking can be found to the left and right.


• From Highway 59 South:

In addtion to street parking there are several lots and grages that are available:

• Allen Center Garage 333 Clay St. at  W. Dallas
• 1100 Smith Street Parking Facility
• Theatre District Underground Parking Garage –When parking underground, please be sure to follow the signs found in the parking garage that point to “Hobby Center Parking”.  This area of the underground parking system is the closest to the park.

• Entrance 1: on the corner of Bagby St. and McKinney St.
• Entrance 2: on the corner of Bagby St. and Lamar St.
• Entrance 3: lower Allen Parkway west of the Heritage Society
