2012 Houston Via Colori® T-shirt Design Challenge
The Via Colori 2012 T-shirt design challenge is open to all amateur and professional graphic designers.
Since the 2006 Via Colori® Festival’s inception, The Center for Hearing and Speech has been fortunate to have many Via Colori artists volunteer their time and talent to create a wonderful t-shirt design worn by all of our Artists and Volunteers. We are once again looking for another creative mind to bring the 2012 Via Colori T-shirt to life! Would you like to take a chance and help the Center? Your artwork could be splashed across the backs and fronts of over 200 artists, 400 volunteers and dozens of festival goers who make a t-shirt purchase!
Deadline:
Wednesday, February 8 – 29, 2012
Submission:
Up to three (3) separate designs can be emailed to Lisa Benitez, Event Manger in JPEG or PDF format at lbenitez@centerhearingandspeech.org. Designs may also be submitted via mail or dropped off at The Center for Hearing and Speech (hours of operation: Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.). The Center is located at 3636 W. Dallas St., Houston, TX 77019.
Creative Inspiration:
The Houston Via Colori® Street Painting Festival is an interactive grassroots art experience that allows attendees the chance to talk to artist, listen to live music, eat, drink and be mesmerized. Via Colori increases public access to art while raising funds and awareness for the Center and hearing loss in children. Criteria for design:
The selected design will be chosen based on concept, artistic quality, creativity and marketability.
- Must include the Via Colori logo or elements of the logo Click here for the Houston Via Colori logo.
- Embodies the spirit of the festival
- Artwork should be appropriate for all audiences
- Appealing to both male and females
- Front and back screens
Design Selection:
The Center will contact the designer with the best draft that meets the criteria directly no later than Monday, March 5, 2012 during business hours. At that time the designer will be invited to meet with the Via Colori team at the Center to discuss the project in detail.
