Lysa Ashley is an artist from Corona, California. Her main artistic medium is chalk pastel. Her favorite art subjects are people and animals. In her day job as a kindergarten teacher, Lysa uses her creative talents to design fun, engaging lessons for five year olds. Lysa is largely self-taught; her street-painting education was a combination of trial and error as well as observing veteran street painters.

Street painting has been a big part of her life for 12 years. She is an active member of the Street Painting Society and has participated in numerous street painting festivals. For her, the performance aspect of street painting is intoxicating. She enjoys talking to the onlookers and sharing her love of art. She creates an average of ten street paintings per year, and she is always looking for new opportunities. Lysa's sister, Lesley Benzakein, is her assistant. Their teamwork makes it possible to create the large, striking

chalk artworks that consistently amaze crowds of spectators.
