The Center for Hearing and Speech (CHS) provides workshops and conferences for professionals working with children who are hearing impaired and deaf.

Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (TSHA) CEUs are available for most workshops and conferences.

Learning Objectives:.

  1. Participants will be able to explain the requirements and process for obtaining certification for LSLS Cert. AVT or LSLS Cert. AV Ed.
  2. Participants will be able to describe normal auditory development.
  3.  Participants will be able to list and describe 4-6 AV strategies and techniques to support the development of spoken language.
  4. Participants will be able to give 2 examples on how their teaching/therapy behaviors will change based on information learned from this course.
