Make an impact on a child’s ability to hear every minute by funding batteries and loaner cables for cochlear implants and hearing aids.

AUDIOLOGY/CAPITAL – SoundSkills, a Parent Education Program ($5,000 - $20,000)

Ensure that parents and children understand their new hearing devices.

SPEECH – Teletherapy Program ($30,000)

Help implement a teletherapy program programs serving deaf children in our community and in outlying areas. This program comes with a naming opportunity.

SOCIAL SERVICES - Family Connections and HOPE ($3,000)

A multi-faceted program that provides emotional and social support to the families at the Center, including a 17 week H.O.P.E. Support Group and Parenting Class, Mothers’ and Fathers’ support groups and events.

PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION – The Gus McHam Learning Institute ($10,000)

Professional Education for teachers and professionals about the oral approach to deaf education. Three annual workshops will feature outstanding guest speakers and allow attendees to exchange ideas and learn new strategies.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH – Jump Start to Listening! ($10,000 - $50,000)

Help sustain and expand Jump Start to Listening!, a program which aims to identify children with hearing loss and educate their families about communication options and early intervention strategies. 

COMMUNITY OUTREACH – Hearing Prevention Program ($5,000 - $20,000)

A new initiative to educate children and parents about preventing noise-induced hearing loss through school and corporate presentations, mailings, and an extensive on-line campaign.

EDUCATION/CAPITAL - Early Reading Materials/Library Books ($1,500)

Specialized reading materials that foster literacy skills and allow group learning in our classrooms.
