In recognition of National Read Aloud Month in March, we are proud to announce that we have partnered up with the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation to increase the awareness and importance of parents, grandparents, childcare providers, and teachers reading aloud to children so that they can effectively learn, grow and succeed.
Below you will find super exciting events and resources to kick off Read Aloud Month, courtesy of the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation!
- Read Aloud Night at the Museum - Celebrate Read Aloud Month with a free night at the Children’s Museum of Houston. Packed with 90,000 square feet of interactive exhibits, the Museum offers 14 hands-on galleries with plenty of fun activities for your family!
- Discover 15 Minutes / Descubre Los 15 Minutos - Find 15 minutes each day to read aloud to your child, because reading aloud, singing and talking helps with brain development, builds vocabulary, and prepares your child for future success in school and life.
