Houston Via Colori is put on by a team of hardworking professionals from the The Center for Hearing and Speech, a local nonprofit for children with hearing loss. With our "Meet the Team" series, you can get to know the team that makes this festival possible.

Meet Via Colori's Senior Graphic Designer, Don Suttajit! Don is the creative mastermind behind all things graphic design at the Center. For Via Colori, he creates the program, advertisements, signage and much more! In honor of this year's festival theme, 70 Years in Color, we're throwing it back to Don's younger years. Check out his "then" and "now" photos and favorite childhood memories below.

What was your favorite childhood memory and why?

In my younger days, my family would do road trips often. One time we were in the middle of our road trip and it was Christmas day. We ended up celebrating in a cheap motel room and had food that wasn't all that great from one of the only restaurants open that day. But we managed to make it great, as the day was full of laughs and love. Though the celebration wasn't much of a spectacle, it showed that all we really needed was one another to make it special.
