Audiology Coordinator
Smoot joined The Center for Hearing and Speech in 2007 as the Administrative Assistant for the Audiology Department. Her degree is in Business Studies from Chattahoochee Technical College. In September 2008, Smoot was promoted to Audiology Coordinator. She manages multiple audiology grants and oversees the Program for the Amplification of the Children of Texas (PACT) process. Smoot coordinates the CHS Cochlear Implant Team, including patient scheduling, in-house team meetings, device ordering and equipment concerns. She is in charge of the yearly statistical analysis of CHS clients for the United Way report. Smoot also is certified in hearing screening. In addition, she continues to serve as a Spanish translator for all audiology services.
